The Georgian lari has dropped to a new low against the US dollar. The Price of one USD was 2.23 Gel today.

Lari became official currency of Georgia in 1995. The price of 1 US dollar was 1 GEL and 30 tetri.

During these years GEL reached the lowest rate in 1999. When one dollar became 2 GEL.

Depreciation process began in November 2014. On 28 January 2015 the national currency against the dollar crossed the mark of 2-GEL.
