After heated political statements, the exchange rate has not changed significantly.

According to official government data from the National Bank, the GEL is 2.25 against the dollar today. One euro is 2.56 GEL, but the exchange rate is different from the currency exchange pukteb.

The government is asking for a three-month period for stabilizing the GEL. This short-term strategy envisages mass privatization and reducing of administrative costs.
