Security measures have been tightened in Gali. Riot police officers control the situation in the region. De facto leader of occupied Abkhazia is expected to arrive at the central square. Reportedly he will open  the building of local cultural center and address locals.

CulturalCenter  was destroyed in 1990s . The rehabilitation of the building began few months ago.
