The Prime Minister of Georgia commented on developments in Zugdidi. Irakli Garibashvili stated that the events which took place in Samegrelo are unacceptable.

"This is targeted provocation, which serves only to escalate situation in the country. It is especially disturbing and provocative in the light of ongoing events- when the government and society tries to defeat influence of past," is mentioned in Irakli Garibashvili`s statement which is published on his facebook page.
