Gigi Ugulava may be released from the Court

The sitting on Gigi Ugulava`s case is underway at the City Court. The lawyers demand to release the former Mayor. They believe that Ugulava`s detention is deliberate action and violates the constitution completely .

The representatives of Prosecution say that Ugulava has to remain in custody because there is a risk that he will influence the witnesses.

Prosecutors say that Ugulava has sent messages to witnesses from prison . The lawyers deny accusations . They state that it is a "trick" to keep Ugulava in prison.
