The President of Georgia is paying official visit to Japan. The first lady accompanies Mr. Margvelashvili. She has independent schedule.

After the arrival Mr. Margvelashvili held first meeting with  The Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs. Bilateral relations and draft of the treaty between Russia and occupied Abkhazia were among the issues to discuss. After the first meeting Japan released announcement that the parliament will discuss in the spring the issue of changing name "Gruzia" into " Georgia".

The President will meet the Japanese Imperor, the Prime Minister, representatives of government and ruling party. In the evening Mr. Margvelashvili will meet representatives of Japanese Media.
