61-year-old doctor Naira Surmanidze died of coronavirus in Adjara. She worked at Kobuleti Medical Center and Batumi Clinic Bau.

“She was admitted to Kobuleti Medical Center on May 10 at 11:00 am with a diagnosis of acute respiratory failure and fever. The patient’s condition was stable, but later it was worsened. Unfortunately, despite the appropriate measures taken, the patient could not be saved”, - the Adjara Ministry of Health said.
