The Prime minister of Georgia stated at the meeting with the U.S congressmen that Georgia does its best for strengthening relations with its first strategic partner.

The two sides have discussed bilateral relations, prospects of Georgia to enter EU and NATO and the ways to activate Georgian issue in the U.S Congress.

Irakli Garibashvili  stressed the importance of regional security and the situation in the occupied regions.

The sides have discussed the issues of global security and  participation in  peacekeeping missions. Georgian PM  thanked the US Congress for help and  support for Georgia"s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the financial support.
