The Minister of Foreign affairs of Georgia comments on the positive  estimation  of the first stage of Visa liberalization process. Maia Panjikidze  underlines that the first stage of the visa liberalization  process, which implies legislative phase was implemented successfully. Now the second stage- implementation of the plan starts.   " We could succeed with the first stage. now we"re ready to move to second phase. The Euro commission has proved it . They estimated the process positively. It will bring Georgia to visa free regime with EU."- Maua Panjikidze says.

The European Commission said on October 29 that Georgia has met first-phase requirements in its visa liberalization dialogue with the EU, paving the way for the launch of the second phase.
