The Minister of Justice will nominate three out of eight candidates for the position of the Chief Prosecutor. The Prosecutorial Council will meet and interview them tomorrow. Finally one of themn will be approved for six years.
Irakli Shotadze, a Deputy Prosecutor is among the candidates. NGOs also plan to attend the meeting. According to them the process is not free from a political influence.
Tamar Gvaramadze, a CEO of Georgian Young Lawyers Association said that their demands were not met.
