Giorgi Kvirikashvili held the first meeting with the Ambassador of the US to Georgia for the first time as the PM of Georgia.

The meeting focused on relations between Georgia and the US and bilateral and multilateral co-operation . They have underlined the existing relationship of two countries and expressed hope for further strengthening of cooperation.

They also discussed the situation in Georgia"s occupied territories and focused on the challenges .

Ian Kelly underlined that the US strongly supports Georgia"s sovereignty, territorial integrity, democratic reforms and the country"s European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

"We had a very good relationship and good cooperation with the previous prime minister. We look forward to a deeper and wider cooperation with the PM Kvirikashvili. We had the opportunity to speak about the government"s priorities, because this year is politically important for your country and the United States," -said Ian Kelly.
