Representative of parliamentarian fraction “Free Democrats” Gia Tsagareishvili stated that his team is preparing for consultations with “Republicans”. The topic of discussion is secret surveillance.

According to Tsagareishvili, “Free Democrats” will not support draft law, which says that so called Keys will have Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Tsagareishvili says, that there should be a system of two keys one which must have court. Tsagareishvili says the owner of second key is to be discussed next week.

There are several projects of law about secret surveillance. Members of Parliament Beselia-Popkhadze-Sesiashvili presented draft law according to which, the two keys system will be introduced: one key will have Ministry of Internal Affairs and the other one will be owned by Inspector for Personal Data Protection.  

According to project of member of Parliament Vakhtang Khmaladze “Keys” of secret surveillance will be in hand of National Communications Commission.

There is the third model as well presented by NGOs. According to it, two so called Key are distributed between Court and Electronic Companies.
