EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia to be extended

EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia was extended for another two years.

The mission will continue to work in Georgia until December 14, 2016.

EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia was established in September 2008, after the war.

From September 2013, the mission in Georgia was headed by Toivo Klaar, who will soon be replaced by a new manager. The first-year budget for the renewed mandate is 18.3 million euro.
