Gigi Ugulava will be released on January 9. The Court of Appeals has halved his detention period. The Judge has announced a verdict already.

The former Mayor was found guilty and sentenced to 4 years and 6 months if imprisonment.

It is possible that the former Mayor will leave the prison today.
