In an interview with "TV Imedi" Former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said that nothing special is happening with the national currency and that the exchange rate of the GEL is not a heavy burden on society.  

"The GEL is not a heavy  burden on society.  "Rustavi 2" is just agitating [the population].  There has been no reflection on prices.  Nothing is happening except good things. GEL is showing that it is alive and healthy. Ongoing events in global politics are reflecting on the situation in Georgia." 

 As for those citizens who have credits at banks in dollars, Ivanishvili stated that they must decide for themselves in which currency to invest their money.
