The reinvestigation of the Vazagashvili case has confirmed that  both Zurab Vazagashvili and Aleksandre Khubulov had been shot at point blank range. Former police officer Georgi Tsaadze was reported to have carried out the shooting. Tsaadze has already been detained.

The Prosecutor"s Office reported that  97 shots had been fired in the direction of the vehicle. Vazagashvili was shot eight times, while Alexandre Khubulov was shot nine times. Bondo Puturidze had also taken multiple shots, but managed to survive.
