The United National Movement (UNM) has just responded to the arrest of 11 individuals in the Vazagashvili and Khubulov case, also known as the "case of tennis courts" because the murders took place next to tennis courts. The former ruling part has claimed that the actions taken by the Prosecutor"s Office are politically motivated.

"All of this is being used for political gain. The investigators should investigate the case and it should be discussed in court. The cases shouldn`t be used to get ahead politically. It is shameful that this is the reality that we now live in here in Georgia. With a politically motivated Prosecutor`s Office and Ministry of Internal Affairs abusing their power for political gain,"- stated UNM Member Giorgi Vashadze.

UNM Member Nugzar Tsiklauri said, "It is unbelievable that someone involved so many officers from special forces and policemen in the act of private revenge. I think that whole this investigation is connected with the society"s protest [to the new government]."
