11 detainees sentenced In Vazagashvili case

Tbilisi City Court has sentenced 11 former law enforcement officials to varying terms of imprisonment in connection to the murders of Vazagashvili and Khubulov. The verdict was announced only minutes ago.

The judge of the Tbilisi City Court denied bail to all 11 arrested.

The sentenced individuals have been charged under article 109 of Georgian criminal code, which covers premeditated murder, falsification of evidences and organizing murder.

Zurab Vazagashvili and Alexandre Khubulov were murdered during a special forces operation on May 2, 2006.
