Hungary is an active supporter of Georgia - Prime Minister"s official visit to Budapest

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili held a meeting with Victor Orban, the Prime Minister of Hungary. 

According to the PM’s press office, the sides discussed important issues in terms of relations between the two countries. Special attention was paid to the importance of deepening economic and trade cooperation. 

The conversation also involved Georgia"s EU integration and NATO membership. Progress in this regard was specifically pointed out.

Irakli Garibashvili emphasized Georgia"s unwavering commitment to EU and NATO integration, which is the choice of the Georgian people. He also thanked the Prime Minister of Hungary for active involvement in the NATO Wales Summit decision on the Substantial Package for Georgia.

The parties also discussed the situation in Georgia"s occupied territories. Victor Orban reiterated Hungary"s full support for Georgia"s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
